Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced TAC network engineer to join our team. A Technical Assistance Center (TAC) Network Engineer is typically responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and resolving network-related issues for customers. The required skill set for a TAC Network Engineer typically includes

Networking Fundamentals
: Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.), OSI model, and network architectures.

Routing and Switching
: Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting routers and switches, including dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, STP, and routing policies.

Vendor Experience:
Cisco, Juniper, and Arista devices.

Troubleshooting Data Center Technologies, VRFs, VXLANs, Switch Fabrics, underlay/overlay technology. Good to have knowledge of MPLS/ISIS.

Ability to understand packet-level and flow analysis between different endpoints in the network.

Network Security
: Knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS systems, access control lists (ACLs), and security best practices.

Network Monitoring and Management
: Experience with network monitoring tools (such as SNMP-based systems), network management protocols (SNMP, NetFlow), and performance optimization techniques.

Troubleshooting Skills
: Strong problem-solving skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues efficiently and effectively.

Hardware Knowledge
: Familiarity with networking hardware from various vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, etc.), including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

Communication Skills
: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, understand their requirements, and provide clear explanations and instructions.

Documentation
: Proficiency in documenting network configurations, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Continuous Learning
: Willingness to stay updated with the latest networking technologies, trends, and industry developments through self-study, training, and certifications.

Training / Certification
: CCNA or CCNP

Work Experience
: 4 + Years

Overall, a TAC Network Engineer should possess a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and a customer-centric approach to effectively support and maintain network infrastructure.

This is a 24*7 work environment with rotation shifts.

Work location:
Flexible with Bangalore/ Hyderabad location.
