Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Urban Planner with 2 to 3 years of professional experience to support urban development projects, land-use planning, and community design initiatives. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of comprehensive plans, zoning studies, and development proposals, contributing to the creation of sustainable, inclusive, and functional urban environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing urban and regional plans, including land-use, zoning, transportation, and environmental strategies.
  • Conduct research, data collection, and spatial analysis related to demographics, housing, infrastructure, and land use.
  • Prepare maps, graphics, and reports using GIS and other planning tools to communicate planning concepts.
  • Participate in community engagement activities, such as public meetings, stakeholder consultations, and workshops.
  • Review and evaluate development proposals, site plans, and zoning applications for compliance with planning policies and regulations.
  • Support senior planners in drafting policy documents, master plans, and planning reports.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and environmental specialists.
  • Stay informed on urban planning trends, sustainability practices, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Geography, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of professional experience in urban or regional planning, preferably within a municipal, consulting, or development context.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and other planning tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with planning legislation, zoning regulations, and sustainability principles.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

  • Experience in transportation or environmental planning.
  • Knowledge of public participation and community engagement methods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹40,000.00 per month
