Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting:

  2. Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.

  3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

  4. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data to management.

  5. Regulatory Compliance (NBFC):

  6. Ensure compliance with the regulatory framework for NBFCs, including RBI guidelines and other statutory norms.

  7. Prepare and file periodic regulatory reports such as income tax, GST, and other filings related to NBFC regulations.

  8. Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  9. Internal Controls & Risk Management:

  10. Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

  11. Identify areas of financial risk and recommend mitigating strategies.

  12. Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

  13. Team Leadership & Coordination:

  14. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, legal, and compliance, to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth operations.

  15. Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing support and training as needed.

  16. Taxation & Statutory Filings:

  17. Ensure timely and accurate filing of taxes (including income tax, GST, etc.), adhering to statutory deadlines.

  18. Coordinate with tax consultants to ensure the companys tax position is optimally managed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) India
  • Experience: 7 to 10 years of experience in accounting operations, specifically with NBFCs, financial services firms. Should have handled a team for last 3+ years.

  • Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of financial operations in NBFCs.

  • Proficient in taxation laws (GST, Income Tax), and regulatory guidelines for NBFCs.

  • Experience in financial reporting, audit preparation, and statutory compliance.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in software and ERP systems (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables).

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with both NBFCs is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to risk management and asset management in the financial sector.
  • Knowledge of NPA (Non-Performing Assets) management and recovery processes.
  • Prior experience in handling audits, both internal and statutory.
