The Linux System Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Linux/Unix servers, networks, and applications. They ensure the system is secure, reliable, and efficient
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for Unix/Linux systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring optimal uptime and performance.
  • Perform routine system administration tasks, such as user management, file system management, and backup/restore operations.
  • Assist in the implementation of system upgrades and patches, following best practices and change management procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to system emergencies in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in Unix/Linux systems administration.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
  • years of proven experience as a System Administrator in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems and associated technologies
  • Experience in C/C++ and programming in Linux environment are a must.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or LPIC-1 are a plus.

Work Environment:
  • This is a full-time position.
  • Candidates must work at least 4 days a week from the office.
  • Candidates should be ready to work in shifts. This team supports 24X7 on a rotating schedule.
