Duration: Internship (Full-time)

1. Role Overview

A-THON is evaluating Coorg as a flagship destination for its next integrated Adventure Hospitality and Off-Road Experience Asset. This property will combine adventure resort elements, camping and stay experiences, and signature A-THON off-road vehicle activities built around the ASHVA and RoVR platforms that may / potentially be owned by A-THON / PARTNERSHIPS/ COLLABORATIONS, who have an experience in the hospitality business.

The Research Interns will collectively brainstorm to derive a multi-dimensional scope, create and expanded team to conduct an in-depth study and produce a comprehensive research report.

  1. Key Responsibilities

A. Coorg Tourism Market Research

  • Analyse tourism demand, visitor trends, peak seasons.

  • Study visitor personas, spending behaviour, and target segments.

  • Map competition across hospitality categories.

B. Terrain and Land Feasibility

  • Assess Coorg's terrain, slope, soil and accessibility.

  • Identify land suitable for hospitality and off-road trails.

  • Understand zoning and environmental regulations.

C. Adventure Hospitality and experience industry Benchmarking

  • Benchmark adventure resorts across India.

  • Identify gaps and missing USPs in the Coorg market.

D. Integration of A-THON Vehicles

  • Identify trails and terrains suitable for A-THON vehicles.

  • Propose signature adventure experiences and preferred experiences beyond.

  • Evaluate safety and permission requirements.

E. Hospitality Product Analysis

  • Study preferences for cottages, villas, camping, and more.

  • Propose the theme, room configurations and amenities.

F. Pricing Analysis

  • Benchmark pricing for stays and adventure activities.

  • Propose optimal pricing & bundling strategies.

G. Financial Feasibility

  • Capex and Opex estimation.

  • ROI, payback period and forecast modelling.

H. Regulatory & Local Ecosystem Study

  • Study approvals required for hospitality and adventure ops.

  • Evaluate local labour and vendor ecosystem.

I. Tourism Activity Mapping

  • Map major tourist spots and link A-THON experiences.

  • Identify B2B partners.

J. Field Survey & Primary Data

  • Mandatory Coorg visit for on-ground research.

  • Conduct interviews, surveys, terrain mapping.

K. Branding & Experience Concepts

  • Propose branding elements and visitor experience flows.

3. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or pursuing degree in Market Research, Tourism Studies, Hospitality, Business, Economics.

  • Strong analytical and field research capability.

  • Excellent communication skills.

4. Preferred Skills

  • Interest in the experience Industry, adventure tourism and off-road vehicles.

  • Ability to work independently and gather primary data.

  • Basic financial modelling skills.
