We are seeking a highly experienced General Manager R&D to lead and oversee research, innovation, and process optimization initiatives in chlor-alkali production (Caustic Soda, Chlorine, Hydrogen, etc.). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process improvement, energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost reduction, along with proven hands-on expertise in Organic & Inorganic Chemistry.

Location : Baroda

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead R&D projects for process improvement, new product development, and cost reduction.
  • Explore and implement advanced technologies like membrane electrolysis, brine purification, and waste minimization.
  • Develop advanced materials, catalysts, coatings, and downstream processes.
  • Optimize production processes, scale up lab findings to commercial production, and implement energy-efficient solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations (EPA, OSHA, REACH) and conduct risk assessments.
  • Lead and mentor a team of researchers, engineers, and scientists; collaborate with production, quality, and marketing teams.
  • Manage patents, research publications, and maintain detailed R&D documentation.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, circular economy projects, and alternative feedstock usage.

Must-Have:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field.
  • Hands-on experience in Organic & Inorganic Chemistry.
  • Extensive experience (27+ years) in R&D leadership in chemical or chlor-alkali industries.
  • Proven track record in process optimization, scale-up, and innovative R&D.
