We're looking for a
Merchandiser
who understands the pulse of the fashion industry and can bridge creativity with commercial execution. The role demands strong experience in
apparel production, vendor coordination, and retail merchandising
— with the ability to travel extensively across India to manage sourcing, supplier relations, and store requirements.

Role Overview

The
Merchandiser
will play a crucial role in managing product life cycles — from development and sourcing to delivery and in-store execution. This is a dynamic position that requires cross-functional collaboration, attention to detail, and a passion for fashion retail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute seasonal merchandising strategies aligned with brand goals.
  • Liaise with vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers for apparel production, sampling, and quality assurance.
  • Monitor fabric sourcing, trims, and product timelines to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Coordinate closely with the design and production teams for product development and approvals.
  • Travel extensively across India to manage supplier networks, evaluate factories, and ensure quality compliance.
  • Oversee retail inventory planning, replenishment, and product allocation.
  • Analyze sales data and consumer trends to guide buying and merchandising decisions.
  • Ensure cost efficiency and maintain brand consistency across product categories.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
    in
    clothing and retail merchandising.
  • Strong knowledge of apparel manufacturing, fabrics, and vendor management.
  • Experience in coordinating with buying teams, production units, and retail stores.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP tools for inventory and order tracking.
  • Willingness to
    travel pan-India
    frequently for sourcing, factory visits, and retail coordination.
  • A passion for fashion, trends, and children's apparel will be a plus.
