Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager for our Strategic Events & Partnerships to lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and management of our flagship marathon and associated fair and other regular events. This role will combine event leadership, sponsorship acquisition, vendor management, and strategic partnerships, ensuring that the event achieves both social impact and fundraising success.

Key Responsibilities

Event Management:

Plan and oversee the entire event lifecycle from planning, to venue selection, registration, software, marketing, bib distribution to race-day logistics, fair setup, safety, food, and post-event evaluation.

Manage vendors and contracts for flex printing, route setup, stage, decorations, timing chips, medals, catering, sound & light, and other infrastructure.

Ensure seamless on-ground execution with volunteer teams, agencies, and operational staff.

Sponsorship & Partnerships:

Develop and execute a sponsorship strategy targeting corporates, CSR teams, institutions, and brands.

Build long-term partnerships with sponsors, media, and community organizations.

Deliver sponsor value through visibility, activations, and engagement opportunities.

Marketing & Outreach:

Lead branding, PR, and digital marketing campaigns for participant registrations and awareness.

Drive media partnerships and ensure maximum coverage for the event.

Ensure consistent messaging aligned with Mukti's mission and values.

Financial & Strategic Oversight:

Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and transparency.

Track ROI for sponsors and stakeholders.

Provide post-event reports and recommendations for scaling.


Qualifications & Experience

MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Event Management, or Sports Management (preferred).

Minimum 7–12 years of experience in large-scale event management, sponsorship sales, or brand activations.

Proven record in sports events, marathons, expos, or CSR-driven campaigns.

Strong corporate network in Kolkata and India.

Experience managing budgets of ₹1–2 Cr+ preferred.

Skills & Competencies

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Strong leadership with ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Creative problem-solving and crisis management skills.

Strong digital marketing and PR knowledge.

Passion for health, sustainability, and community development.

Compensation

Competitive, commensurate with experience: ₹6–8 LPA (mid-level) to ₹10–15 LPA (senior-level).

Flexible structure (full-time or fixed-term project contract).
