Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Spoken English Trainer to deliver engaging, impactful training in English at our Lighthouse center in Odisha. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, a student-first approach, and the ability to build rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality classroom sessions in Spoken English to enhance students' job readiness.
  • Conduct regular student assessments and track learning outcomes.
  • Provide one-on-one mentorship and feedback to support individual student growth.
  • Share timely updates and training progress reports with the Master Trainer.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve teaching methodologies and materials.
  • Maintain accurate training records and reports.
  • Support other team members and Lighthouse activities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in any discipline, with 1–2 years of experience in teaching or training, preferably in English.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and classroom management skills.
  • Comfortable managing a batch of 25–30 students.
  • Energetic, empathetic, and able to connect well with youth from diverse communities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to youth development and social transformation.
  • Basic digital literacy and ability to teach digital skills.
