Job Summary:

The Director in India is responsible for overseeing the overall operations and growth of the business while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. The role involves setting strategic direction, managing day-to-day operations, and driving financial performance through effective budgeting and cost control. The individual will leads and develop cross functional teams, builds strong customer and partner relationships, and ensures high levels of service quality. Additionally, the position requires maintaining compliance with Indian labor laws and taxation requirements, representing the company with government bodies and global headquarters, and proactively managing risks to safeguard business continuity. The Director ensures operational efficiency, financial health, and people leadership, while aligning local execution with the company's global strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve both short-term milestones and long-term operational objectives in the country.
  • Identify ways to improve operational efficiencies through on-time delivery and customer experience.
  • Drive team performance and collaboration to strengthen relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee all aspects of business operations in India, including, HR, Finance, Quality, Service, and Health & Safety while maintaining compliance.
  • Lead and inspire team leads to create and execute strategic plans aligned with their respective functions and targets.
  • Provide regular reports and strategic recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Identify and implement business improvements that enhance cost-efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Clearly communicate the company's value propositions and ensure alignment with organizational processes.
  • Proactively assess and address challenges, ensuring timely resolution of issues impacting operations or strategy.
  • Lead and support change initiatives that foster innovation and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, and ongoing process enhancement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Manufacturing, Service Operations, Business, or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • Strong background in operations management within manufacturing, ideally in the aviation industry.
  • Strong understanding of engineering and industrial production processes.
  • Experience working in SMEs and matrix organizations.
  • Commercial acumen with knowledge of product supply, manufacturing, and business finance.
  • Skilled in interpreting financial reports and meeting group-level deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams with strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • International business exposure with cultural awareness and adaptability.
  • Expertise in project management, productivity improvement, and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities; confident at executive level.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; thrives under pressure.
  • High-level organizational and decision-making capabilities.
  • Represents the company at events and maintains a strong public profile.
