Zema Global Data Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Test Automation Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for a candidate with approximately 2 years of hands-on experience in Python development, a deep understanding of automated testing principles, and strong problem-solving and scripting skills. 

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust automated test suites to ensure the quality and reliability of our platform. You'll work closely with developers and DevOps engineers to build scalable test strategies and improve the velocity and stability of our release process. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design and develop automated test scripts using Python and related frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Selenium, or similar). 
• Build, execute, and maintain test plans for the cQuant platform (web applications, APIs, and backend services). 
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot failures effectively. 
• Collaborate with teams to ensure testability of code and consistent delivery standards. 
• Manage test environments and automate system setup using shell scripts and tools. 
• Analyze test results and work with the team to resolve issues and regressions quickly. 

Key Qualifications: 

• Education: 
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 
• Experience: 
• ~2-3 years of experience in test automation or software development with a strong focus on Python. 
• Experience testing REST APIs, backend systems, and web-based applications. 
• Hands-on experience working in Linux environments and writing shell scripts to automate test setup and monitoring tasks. 
• Exposure to cloud platforms and/or containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. 

Technical Skills: 

• Proficient in Python with solid experience using test frameworks like Pytest. 
• Comfortable working in Linux-based systems; strong command-line and shell scripting skills. 
• Familiarity with automated browser testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright). 
• Proficient in using Git for version control, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews. 
• Strong experience in testing REST APIs using tools like Postman and validating responses using assertions, scripts, and automation collections. 
• Working knowledge of SQL for validating backend data and writing queries for test setup and verification. 

Soft Skills: 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to continuously improve product quality and engineering practices.
