We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in AWS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and a proven track record of leading and scaling DevOps practices in dynamic, cloud-native environments. The ideal candidate will bring both technical depth and leadership skills, driving infrastructure strategy, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring high standards of performance, availability, and security across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.

  • Own and optimize Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform, including code reviews and reusable module design.

  • Design and manage complex Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and containerized workloads with Docker.

  • Oversee and evolve CI/CD pipelines, ensuring robust automation, testing, deployment, and rollback capabilities.

  • Guide and implement observability best practices — monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).

  • Lead the development and support of serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and related services.

  • Drive security-first DevOps practices — IAM hardening, secrets management, and compliance.

  • Architect and maintain relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), including performance tuning and migration strategies.

  • Act as a technical lead for major projects, collaborating with engineering, security, and product teams.

  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to DevOps and platform engineers.

  • Conduct post-mortems and proactively resolve issues before they impact business operations.

Requirements:
Technical Expertise:

  • 8–10 years of relevant DevOps/Cloud engineering experience.

  • Expert-level proficiency with AWS services: IAM, EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFormation, Lambda, EKS, and more.

  • Advanced experience with Terraform for complex, production-grade infrastructure.

  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and orchestration using EKS.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, scripting (Bash, Python), and automation tools.

  • Solid experience with PostgreSQL, schema migrations, and performance tuning.

  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals: DNS, load balancing, SSL/TLS, reverse proxies.

  • Experience with monitoring & logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK, Datadog, CloudWatch).

Leadership & Soft Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead projects and mentor DevOps engineers.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface between technical and non-technical teams.

  • Strategic thinking with a mindset of continuous improvement.

  • Self-driven and capable of thriving in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certifications.

  • Experience in FinTech, SaaS, or other regulated industries.

  • Knowledge of cost optimization strategies in cloud environments.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Certifications or experience with ITIL or ISO 20000 frameworks are advantageous.
