Cloud Developer Ideal Job band P3 Position Overview Collins Aerospace a Raytheon Technologies company is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry Collins Aerospace has the capabilities comprehensive portfolio and expertise to solve customers toughest challenges and to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market The Applied Research Technology ART team part of Collins Aerospace works with teams around the globe collaborating with them towards building prototypes demonstrators and new products thereby enabling better innovation and business outcomes for Collins Aerospace An overview of the ART team can be found in the link below We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team and work with our engineering teams to optimize implement and maintain our organizations cloud-based systems A Cloud Engineers responsibilities include executing new cloud initiatives supporting projects with cloud infrastructure and deploying and debugging systems You will work with different teams to ensure our cloud computing systems meet the needs of our organization and customers Responsibilities Design develop and deploy modular cloud-based systemsDevelop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practicesEnsure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud securityIdentify analyze and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issuesRegularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvementsInteract with clients provide cloud support and make recommendations based on client needsCollaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutionsModifying and improving existing systemsEducating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiativesExperience working with international teams North America Europe etc Requirements Skills 5 years of relevant experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role with bachelor s degree in computer science engineering or a related field Must have strong knowledge of AWS cloud computing platform Experience with Azure is a plus Experience with deploying Machine Learning applications on AWS Docker KubernetesWorking Experience in designing architecting developing and managing AWS-based infrastructure SSO implementations and applications Experience with programming languages such as PythonBasic understanding of identity provisioning and how it interfaces with applicationsKnowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements Good to have AWS Associate level certification or equivalent experienceExperience partnering with cross-functional teams such as DT IT infrastructure Global Trade Networking etc Actively learn new technologies and features that can positively impact the projects and its usersPreferred experience with tools such as CDK terraform artifactory github Kubernetes WIZPreferred experience with DevOps tools -
