Job Overview

The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and programs to ensure workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability. This role safeguards employees, minimizes organizational risks, and promotes a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Management

  • Develop, implement, and maintain workplace health and safety programs and policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and accident investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Provide training and education to employees on safety practices and emergency procedures.
  • Monitor workplace conditions and enforce corrective measures where needed.

Environmental Compliance

  • Oversee environmental programs, including waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Develop strategies to reduce the organization's environmental footprint.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives.

Regulatory & Audit Management

  • Act as the primary contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports, permits, and required documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and safety drills to ensure ongoing compliance.

Team & Leadership

  • Lead and mentor EHS staff and cross-functional safety committees.
  • Drive a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with operations, HR, and facilities teams to align safety initiatives with business objectives.
