Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Data Engineer, located in Noida. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and architectures. Key tasks include data modeling, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, data warehousing, and data analytics. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to support data initiatives and ensure optimal data delivery architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, including CTEs, window functions, and aggregations.
  • Develop and maintain views, materialized views, and stored procedures for data warehousing and reporting.
  • Lead data migration initiatives using Microsoft Fabric, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data movement from source systems to Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or Azure SQL.
  • Implement CI/CD workflows for data pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, bugs, and data quality challenges across pipelines.
  • Collaborate with analytics and business teams to understand requirements and deliver data models that support insights.

Mandatory Skills:

  • SQL (Advanced): Strong hands-on with joins, CTEs, views, materialized views, window functions, and performance tuning
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF): Pipelines, triggers, dataflows.
  • Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake
  • CI/CD deployment using Azure DevOps
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical thinking

Nice to Have:

  • Power BI for data visualization
  • Python or PySpark scripting in data workflows
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security best practices
  • Azure Data Engineer certification (e.g., DP-203)
  • Microsoft Fabric: Hands-on experience in data migration and ingestion
