Roles & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Cash Flow Management:

  2. Monitor daily cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.

  3. Forecast cash requirements, align them with business cycles, and manage surplus cash for optimum yield.
  4. Implement efficient cash flow strategies, including accelerating receivables and managing payables.

  5. Funding and Investment Management:

  6. Source short- and long-term funding, including lines of credit, loans, and bond issuances if needed.

  7. Identify investment opportunities to enhance returns on excess cash, balancing risk and liquidity needs.
  8. Optimize debt-to-equity ratio and manage cost-effective financing solutions.

  9. Working Capital Management:

  10. Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to manage working capital.

  11. Analyze and optimize inventory levels to balance production demands and financial efficiency.
  12. Implement strategies to improve accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) cycles.

  13. Risk Management:

  14. Develop policies to mitigate financial risks, including foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity price risks.

  15. Use hedging and other financial instruments where appropriate.
  16. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal risk management policies.

  17. Banking and Relationship Management:

  18. Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investment partners.

  19. Negotiate fees, terms, and services with banking partners to optimize costs and improve service levels.
  20. Conduct periodic reviews of banking arrangements and seek new opportunities for improvement.

  21. Reporting and Analysis:

  22. Prepare treasury reports and forecasts for senior management, including cash flow, debt status, and risk exposure.

  23. Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying trends and recommending actions.
  24. Support external reporting requirements, such as financial statement disclosures and compliance reports.

Key Skills:

  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and investment analysis.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret financial data, assess risk, and forecast financial outcomes.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in treasury management systems, financial modeling, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.

  • Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to devise effective solutions to financial challenges, particularly in managing liquidity and risk.

Educational Qualification:

MBA Finance or CA

Experience:

  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and investment analysis.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret financial data, assess risk, and forecast financial outcomes.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in treasury management systems, financial modeling, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
