Job Description

We are looking for 7+ years skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java, REST Assured, TestNG, Maven, BDD (Cucumber), and IntelliJ. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks for RESTful APIs and backend services. Hands-on experience with Postman, GitHub, and deep understanding of REST APIs is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for REST API testing using Java + Rest Assured.
  • Write robust, scalable, and reusable automation scripts using TestNG and Cucumber (BDD).
  • Independently manage and enhance automation frameworks and CI/CD integrations.
  • Perform REST API testing using Postman for quick validations and debugging.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Implement best practices for test automation, code versioning, and documentation using GitHub.
  • Analyze test results, log defects, and track them to closure.
  • Participate in code reviews, maintain code quality, and enforce standards.
  • Maintain proper test data management and environment setup for reliable test execution.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong programming experience with Java for test automation.
  • Proficiency in REST Assured for REST API testing.
  • Hands-on with TestNG, BDD (Cucumber), and IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Experience with Maven for project management and dependency control.
  • Working knowledge of Postman for API testing and debugging.
  • Good understanding of RESTful web services and JSON/XML data formats.
  • Experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Ability to independently manage automation frameworks and contribute to automation strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have:

Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
