Role & responsibilities

Oversee inspections, testing, and audits of raw materials, in-process castings, and finished products to ensure conformance with specified requirements and industry standards

Develop, update, and maintain the foundrys Quality Management System (QMS), including policies, SOPs, documentation, and records to comply with customer, company, and regulatory guidelines

Lead the investigation of non-conformances and product defects; implement corrective and preventive actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence

Analyze quality data (such as defect rates and cost of poor quality) to identify trends, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities; drive continuous process improvement initiatives using tools like SPC, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis

Prepare detailed and concise reports documenting quality issues, test results, audit findings, and project progress; communicate regularly with management, production teams, and external clients

Supervise and train QA/QC personnel and production staff regarding quality standards, best practices, and inspection techniques

Monitor plant laboratory operations for testing and calibration of equipment, and ensure proper procedures are followed

Organize, conduct, and support internal, supplier, and customer audits, including preparation of required documentation and implementation of audit recommendations

Ensure that products adhere to contractual and regulatory requirements and have the authority to stop production or reject shipments when serious quality violations are identified

Collaborate closely with departments such as production, PPC, Marketing and top management to resolve quality issues and streamline operations

Act as the leader for customer claims: facilitate investigations, negotiate solutions, and maintain strong relationships with clients. Track and champion scrap reduction and improvement projects as part of continuous quality goals

Participate in new product development gate reviews to ensure quality is considered in design and production planning.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience with HPML moulding line, delt with OEM customers, should have skill to lead team of 6-7 Engineers and 20-25 inspectors. Should be adverse with IMS audit. IATF audits, QMS systems
