We are looking for a Data Integration Engineer with extensive experience in ETL/ELT processes and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to join our team on a contractual basis. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, can work independently, and has a sharp eye for detail. The position is night-shift (India time) and involves end-to-end data pipeline development, automation, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

ETL/ELT Development

Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

Build robust and scalable data pipelines to move and transform data across multiple source and target systems.

Develop and optimize SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

Automate data ingestion processes using Python scripting for API-based integrations.

Data Modeling & Architecture

Design and document data warehouse schemas, including fact and dimension tables, aligned with business requirements.

Analyze data sources to identify relationships, dependencies, and integration points.

Collaborate with DBAs for schema deployment, indexing, and performance tuning.

Data Quality & Governance

Conduct data profiling, validation, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Implement data governance best practices, metadata management, and query optimization.

Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, providing actionable insights and solutions.

Collaboration & Documentation

Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Prepare clear and detailed documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRD).

Participate in UAT and provide support to ensure smooth deployment and adoption of data solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8+ years of experience in ETL, data warehousing, and data integration.

5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and data warehouse architecture.

Proven ability to design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

Experience with Python scripting for API-based data ingestion and automation.

Solid understanding of data governance, quality management, and performance tuning.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Exposure to cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure.

Experience with version control systems like Git.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Experience in complex data integration projects and large-scale data migrations.
