Position Overview:

The Senior Executive Purchase (Electrical) will be responsible for handling all electrical procurement activities for the Daman facility. The role involves sourcing, negotiating, and procuring a wide range of electrical and electromechanical components required for plant operations and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle procurement of electrical and electromechanical components including but not limited to:

  • Motors, Drives, Panels, Switchgears, Contactors, Relays, PLCs, and Cables

  • Transformers, Chillers, Compressors, Heaters, and Electrical Instruments

  • Lighting Systems, Control Systems, and other Electrical Utilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely deliveries.

  • Request and evaluate quotations, conduct cost comparisons, and negotiate commercial terms.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams for technical evaluation and approvals.
  • Issue and manage Purchase Orders in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with vendors for material delivery and resolve discrepancies in material quality or quantity.
  • Maintain vendor databases and track supplier performance for continuous improvement.
  • Support cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and audit requirements.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience: 5 7 years of experience in electrical procurement within a manufacturing or engineering setup.

  • Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and vendor network.

  • Good understanding of commercial and technical terms related to purchases.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle or equivalent).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
