Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Underwriter based in Hyderabad. The Underwriter will be responsible for assessing and analyzing insurance applications to determine risk levels and coverage amounts. Responsibilities include evaluating medical information, financial data, and other relevant documents, and making informed decisions on policy approvals. The Underwriter will also communicate with agents and clients, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to policy development and improvements in underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess risk accurately
  • Proficiency in evaluating medical and financial documents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance standards
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field
  • Previous underwriting experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in using underwriting software and tools
