Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment (shredders, conveyors, compactors, balers, pumps, blowers, etc.).
  • Monitor plant operations and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure proper installation, calibration, and testing of new machinery and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment maintenance logs, checklists, and reports.
  • Assist in process improvement for efficiency, cost reduction, and energy savings.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for spare parts and services.
  • Implement safety procedures, and ensure compliance with statutory and environmental regulations.
  • Support project activities such as design, erection, and commissioning of waste processing plants.
  • Train and guide technicians and operators in equipment handling and maintenance.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 2–5 years (for Engineer role) in maintenance/operations; preferably in waste management, power plants, process industries, or manufacturing.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills:

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage manpower effectively.
  • Safety and environment awareness.
