To lead Research & Development activities of Process development, scale and Technology transfer of crop protection products and Intermediates in coordination with other project team members and stakeholders.

  • Identifies innovative science and technology by literature survey and cross-functional interaction and makes the link to potential opportunities for its application. To support production in commissioning of new products, new technologies, in plant trouble shooting and for continuous improvement of existing products in manufacturing
  • The jobholder will be expected to represent Process Chemistry function within organization and lead team of process development chemists.
  • Plan and organize process development work programs to design, develop and establish new products for Indian/global markets.
  • Analyse and develop chemistry data on A.I. and Intermediates in terms of regulatory, IP and commercial scale implementation.
  • Responsible for regular reporting of process development activities to various stakeholders and communicate effectively and clearly in multi-national and/or multi-functional project teams.
  • Coordinate process validation in terms of Lab scale validation, scale up, Pilot plant trials, commercial trials, waste management, process safety studies etc.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for commissioning of products on commercial scale

Critical knowledge

  • Must have MSc or PhD in Organic Chemistry
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms and spectroscopy.
  • Sound familiarity to literature search, reading literature and capturing ideas.
  • Designing of different reaction schemes and screening through experiments.
  • Understanding of Process development approach, decide deliverables and measurable
  • Ability to guide and support team in process development work through ideas, trouble shooting, process improvement opportunities
