Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Quantity Surveying (QS) Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and project estimates.
  • Conduct rate analysis, material take-off, and cost comparison.
  • Manage contract documentation, including tendering, billing, and variation claims.
  • Track project cost control, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
  • Verify subcontractor bills, vendor invoices, and progress measurements.
  • Coordinate with the site team for daily progress reports and material reconciliation.

Quality Control (QC) Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures as per project specifications and standards.
  • Conduct inspection and testing of materials and workmanship.
  • Maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection checklists, test reports, and quality logs.
  • Coordinate with the consultant/client for inspections and approvals.
  • Ensure non-conformance reports (NCRs) are raised, tracked, and resolved appropriately.
  • Support HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) compliance at the site.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Quantity Surveying software.
  • Good understanding of IS codes, QA/QC procedures, and contract management.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience: 37 years in QS / QC functions in the construction or infrastructure sector.
