Job Summary:

The Cash Application Specialist responsible for
managing credit card remittances
, applying

customer payments accurately, and ensuring timely resolution of unapplied payments. This

role focuses on processing credit card payments, maintaining the payment inbox, and

communicating with customers as needed to secure remittance information.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Card Payment Management

 Monitor and manage the credit card payments inbox in Outlook.

 Process and apply
credit card payments
to customer accounts with accuracy and

speed.

 Ensure timely posting of payments in the accounting system.

Remittance & Cash Application

 Review payment details and apply payments to corresponding invoices.

 Follow up via email with customers who do not provide remittance details with CC

payments.

 Review unapplied or pending credit card transactions and
resolve discrepancies
.

Key-Offs and Unposted Reports

 Manage key-offs by posting payments to customer accounts based on remittance

details.

 Review and work on daily unposted cash reports.

Unapplied Cash Resolution

 Research and identify unapplied payments previously booked under corporate

accounts.

 Reallocate funds to the correct customer accounts upon receiving remittance proof.

Cash on Account (COA)
Research

 Investigate payments placed on COA on both corporate and individual customer

accounts.

 Contact collectors or customers to obtain remittance information and support

payment application.

Qualifications & Skills


Experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, or similar finance role.

 Experience with credit card payment processing and cash posting systems.

 Strong proficiency in Outlook and MS Office applications, particularly
Excel
.

 High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.


Effective written communication skills
.

 Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
