Role Overview:

The Head of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing all aspects of financial planning and analysis, statutory compliance, reporting, and business partnering. The role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of finance and accounting, who can influence key decisions and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Controlling & Compliance

  • Ensure effective financial controls across all functions.
  • Drive internal control improvements and compliance with global standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate closing of books in accordance with Indian GAAP/IFRS.

2. Financial Reporting & Statutory Audits

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Liaise with auditors and ensure successful completion of statutory, internal, and tax audits.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, etc.)

3. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
  • Analyze financial performance and variances to budget/forecast and provide actionable insights.
  • Drive cost control initiatives and financial discipline across the organization.

4. Business Partnering

  • Work closely with business heads and functions to provide financial insights for decision-making.
  • Evaluate capex proposals, new projects, and product pricing strategies.
  • Support strategic initiatives and M&A evaluations through financial modeling and risk assessment.

5. Management Reporting & MIS

  • Design and deliver insightful dashboards and periodic performance reports to leadership.
  • Present financial results, business performance, and strategic recommendations to the Board and senior management.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making through structured MIS.

Key Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven track record in managing finance functions in a manufacturing or chemical industry environment (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory laws, and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • High degree of business acumen and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills.
