We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SAP RISE Infrastructure Operations Engineer/Architect to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and managing the Global Infrastructure operations for SAP RISE, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including cloud architects, network engineers, and SAP application teams, to deliver seamless infrastructure solutions tailored to SAP RISE customers. 
 
This position requires in-depth knowledge of SAP systems, cloud platforms, infrastructure management, and a strong focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 
Percent of Time
Infrastructure Design and Architecture

• Assist in the design and implement robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions for SAP RISE environments. 

• Collaborate with SAP Basis, cloud, and network teams to define infrastructure requirements and architecture standards. 

• Develop and optimize infrastructure blueprints for SAP RISE customers, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance standards.  30%
Operations and Maintenance 

• Provide the monitoring solution to maintain the health, performance, and availability of SAP RISE infrastructure. 

• Review operation reports, including incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for infrastructure-related issues with MSP operations team.  15%
Cloud Integration and Management

• Work with SAP RISE team to ensure proper cloud integration with Zoetis Global Infrastructure 

• Optimize cloud resource utilization for our Air-Gap tenant and 3rd party hosted applications to achieve cost efficiency without compromising performance. 

• Manage hybrid cloud setups, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud environments.  15%
Security and Compliance

• Ensure the infrastructure adheres to Zoetis security and compliance standards.

• Assist in security audits and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks.  15%
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

• Act as a Global Infrastructure technical advisor for SAP RISE teams, providing guidance on infrastructure best practices and operational strategies. 

• Collaborate with SAP's internal teams (e.g., SAP Team, DevOps, and engineering) to deliver end-to-end solutions.  15%

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:

• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect )

• Undergraduate degree is a plus
Experience:

• Expertise in incident management, root cause analysis, and performance tuning for SAP environments. 

• Experience with ITIL & Agile processes, including change management, problem management, and service management. 

• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies for SAP systems. 

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 

• Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
 
 TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Strong knowledge of SAP RISE system infrastructure requirements. 

• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) and their integration with SAP. 

• Hands-on experience with hyperscaler platforms (Azure & AWS) and their services (e.g., EC2, VMs, networking, storage). 

• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and automation frameworks. 

• Understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing in cloud and hybrid environments. 

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Zenoss, Dynatrace, Prometheus). 
 
 PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS 
Minimal travel 0-5%.  Hybrid – Tuesday to Thursday in office.   Weekend work by exception – not a rule.
