1. Strategic Planning & P&L Ownership

  • Develop and execute an all-India e-commerce business strategy aligned with company objectives.
  • Own the P&L for e-commerce channels drive topline growth, profitability, and ROI.
  • Identify new growth opportunities through online channels (marketplaces, D2C, social commerce, q-commerce, etc.).

2. Channel Management

  • Manage relationships with major marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.), ensuring best placements, deals, and visibility.
  • Lead operations for the company's D2C website (Shopify/Magento, etc.) — UI/UX, content, product listings, SEO/SEM, and conversion optimisation.
  • Oversee catalog management, pricing strategy, inventory sync, and product content accuracy across platforms.

3. Marketing & Traffic Growth

  • Collaborate with digital marketing teams to drive online traffic through paid media (Google Ads, Meta, Affiliate, Influencers, etc.).
  • Plan and execute online campaigns during sale events (Big Billion Days, Great Indian Festival, etc.).
  • Ensure brand consistency and messaging across all digital touchpoints.

4. Operations & Fulfilment

  • Streamline e-commerce operations — order management, warehouse coordination, shipping SLAs, and returns.
  • Ensure seamless integration between ERP, warehouse, logistics, and marketplace systems.
  • Partner with supply chain and finance teams for stock availability, forecasting, and payment reconciliations.

5. Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyse online performance metrics — traffic, conversion, ASP, ROI, CAC, CLV, etc.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly dashboards and business reviews.
  • Use data to drive pricing, assortment, and marketing decisions.

6. Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build and lead a high-performing e-commerce team (category managers, digital marketing, operations, catalog).
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT.
  • Foster a results-oriented, data-driven culture focused on digital excellence.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of marketplace ecosystems (Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, Tata Cliq, etc.)
  • Proven ability to drive D2C website performance and manage e-commerce technology platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento).
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing, performance metrics, and online merchandising.
  • Analytical & data-driven mindset; comfortable using analytics tools (Google Analytics, Power BI, Excel).
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills with online partners.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
