Job Description

Operations

Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships, and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures, and markets.

Client IM Operations

This Operations group supports the equity, fixed income, liquidity, and alternative businesses for Client Investment Management, providing middle-office services including portfolio manager support, client services, portfolio transitions, security reference data management, trades settlement, and performance and attribution analysis. Client IM Operations also provides mutual fund support, derivative processing, and counterparty and credit event management.

India Portfolio Services

India Portfolio Services provides support to the India Trading desk for trades executed in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka Markets. The team also provides support to the London, SG, and NY Portfolio Services team for activities related to Trade & Cash Management and Reconciliation oversight.

Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day tasks, resolution of issues, as well as longer-term projects.

• Required to perform oversight of all internal and external deliverables
• Track service providers timeliness and accuracy of their deliverables and escalate issues to Global Oversight Teams.
• Actively support cash maintenance function across assigned strategies and work with State Street IMS, Trading team, and external counterparties/custodians to ensure sufficient funds are available on settlement date.
• Respond to all Investment Team, Trading and Functional team queries.
• Ensure timely review and escalation of failed trades and Overdraft reports.
• Liaising for Processing of Broker Claims and Trade Errors with Internal teams.
• Liaising with internal teams on CSDR payments and ensure timely completion of underlying tasks.

Experience / Knowledge Required

• Ideal candidate should have up to 4-6 years of experience in Investment Management Operations and have exposure to Equity and Fixed Income products.
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent (Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred) and demonstrated, proven experience in Financial Services Operations or similar role.
