QC Inspector – Civil (PDQI Engineer)

Location: Pune / Mumbai

Experience Required: 1-3 years experience in residential or commercial construction

Qualifications: BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Role Summary

The Civil Finishings Inspector will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of finishing works in ready-to-move-in residential properties. The inspector ensures that all finishing elements including flooring, ceilings, walls, doors, door frames, windows, CP sanitary ware, and fixtures meet the approved specifications, quality standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed inspections of all finishing elements such as flooring (tiles, marble, wood), ceilings, wall paint and plaster quality, doors and door frames, windows, and CP sanitary ware installations.
  • Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Utilize basic inspection equipment to check leveling, alignment, joint finishes, and surface quality.
  • Identify defects, damages, and non-conformance and coordinate with contractors for prompt rectifications.
  • Prepare accurate inspection checklists, reports, and document all findings for client and project management review.
  • Support quality audits and assist in implementing quality control measures throughout the finishing phase.

Skills & Competencies

  • Sound understanding of civil finishing materials, workmanship standards, and installation techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with common inspection tools and equipment such as laser levels, plumb bobs, measuring tapes, feeler gauges, and moisture meters.
  • Strong observational skills with attention to detail and ability to document issues clearly.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills for liaising with site teams and clients.
  • Ability to work independently under supervision and manage time effectively during inspections.
