Project Manager- Warehouse Automation

- 3–8 years of experience in project management in warehouse/industrial automation, logistics infrastructure, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams (automation, infra, operations).Experience with vendors/OEMs in material handling, conveyors, robotics, or sortation systems.
- Strong knowledge of project planning tools.
- Excellent vendor management, negotiation, and contract handling.
- Strong problem-solving, risk management, and execution mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Good to have: Experience with AutoCAD
- Project Planning & Execution - Define project scope, timelines, and milestones in line with business goals. Develop detailed project plans covering automation systems, infrastructure, IT integration, electrical power, and operations readiness. Work closely with the central automation & network team to clearly understand the design and requirements, and ensure delivery from the vendors as per specifications.
- Cross-Functional Coordination - Collaborate with automation and machinery vendors for design, procurement, installation, and testing. Align with operations teams for process design, manpower planning, and SOPs. Partner with infrastructure teams to design facility layout for electrical and safety systems.
- Project Monitoring & Control - Track progress against KPIs (time, cost, quality, safety). Set up dashboards and alarms for early detection and easy resolution of the issues. Conduct regular site reviews and review SOP adherence.
- Commissioning & Handover - Ensure smooth installation, testing, and acceptance of automation systems.Drive facility readiness – including trial runs, operator training, and handover to operations.Document learnings, best practices, and post-project reviews. Ensure JIT (just in time) delivery of spares and timely maintenance of machines. Ensure training for breakdowns and maintenance.
