Role -

The person will spearhead the identification, development, and management of high-impact collaborations with industry, academia, and global organizations. This role is central to driving institutional growth through strategic tie-ups, formalizing partnerships, and leading negotiations to establish Centers of Excellence (CoEs), innovation labs, and other joint initiatives. The position requires a visionary leader with strong networking capabilities to strengthen the institutions industry interface, enhance global visibility, and drive value-added partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnerships & MoUs: Identify, evaluate, and formalize national and global industry alliances through MoUs, joint agreements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Industry Collaborations: Build strong relationships with industry leaders, multinational organizations, and startups to create long-term partnerships.
  • Centers of Excellence & Labs: Drive the establishment of CoEs, innovation labs, and other technical enablement programs in collaboration with industry and academia.
  • High-level Negotiations: Lead strategic discussions and negotiations with senior stakeholders to align partnership outcomes with institutional objectives.
  • Outreach & Onboarding: Develop and execute outreach strategies to onboard new partners, expand networks, and strengthen existing collaborations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Function as the primary POC for industry partners and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with academic, research, and administrative teams to integrate partnerships into institutional goals.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track progress, measure impact of partnerships, and prepare regular reports for leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree with MBA/PG (or equivalent qualification).
  • Minimum 12+ years of professional experience in strategic partnerships, alliances, industry collaborations, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success in leading negotiations and managing large-scale collaborations.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and networking abilities.
  • Exposure to national and global partnerships, with experience in setting up CoEs/labs preferred.
