Senior QA Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the QA team, establishing streamlined processes to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Develop and implement automated test scripts to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
  • Conduct manual testing when necessary to ensure thorough functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
  • Collaborate with developers, project managers, and global teams to address and resolve issues effectively.
  • Analyze test results, document defects, and monitor their resolution process diligently.
  • Enhance and maintain automation frameworks for increased reusability and effectiveness.
  • Drive the adoption of best QA practices and quality standards across projects.
  • Mentor and support junior QA engineers to foster team growth and proficiency.
  • Actively participate in Agile/Scrum activities, contributing to sprint planning and delivery processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven experience in Quality Assurance encompassing manual and automated testing.
  • Hands-on experience (1+ years) with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalents.
  • Demonstrated leadership in QA, including process optimization and quality enhancement.
  • Profound understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, regression cycles, and defect management.
  • Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Experience testing e-commerce platforms, covering storefronts, checkout processes, payment systems, and integrations.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
  • Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
  • Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or equivalents.
  • Basic scripting/programming skills in JavaScript or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing solutions such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication abilities.
