Commerce Back End Developer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commerce Backend Developer (SAP Hybris L2 Support) to join our dynamic eCommerce support team. The ideal candidate will act as the primary technical contact for SAP Hybris and related systems, ensuring high system availability, quick issue resolution, and seamless customer experience.

Skill / Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of SAP Hybris architecture, including data modeling , FlexibleSearch) and administrative tools (Backoffice, HAC, HMC).
• Hands-on experience with Impex scripts for data import/export.
• Proficiency in Hybris core modules such as Product Catalog, Cart, Checkout, and Promotions.
• Working knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with log analysis and monitoring tools like Kibana, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
• Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or JIRA for incident, change, and problem management.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an understanding of eCommerce processes and third-party integrations.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools.
• Basic understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization in Hybris-based systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for L2 support for SAP Hybris and related systems.
• Investigate and resolve incidents escalated from L1 support, ensuring minimal business disruption.
• Analyze application logs, monitor system performance, and carry out root cause analysis for recurring issues.
• Provide timely resolution for storefront-related issues, including Cart, Checkout, Search, and Promotions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot integrations with third-party systems, such as payment gateways, OMS, etc.
• Collaborate with L3/development teams for deep-dive technical analysis and resolution of code-level issues.
• Ensure timely ticket handling in ITSM systems (ServiceNow, JIRA) while maintaining defined SLA targets.
• Document recurring issues and resolution steps; contribute to the knowledge base and support documentation.
• Perform routine maintenance activities: cache clearing, cronjob monitoring, deployment checks, etc.
• Provide on-call and weekend support as part of a rotational schedule.
