Role & responsibilities

Develop detailed project schedules for Substation or Civil Construction or Power Transmisssion line projects using Primavera P6/MS Project.


• Prepare project execution plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource-loaded schedules.


• Monitor progress against baseline schedules and prepare variance/delay analysis reports.


• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project teams for schedule alignment.


• Prepare and update cash flow, resource allocation, and manpower deployment plans.


• Support project managers in identifying critical paths, bottlenecks, and providing recovery plans.


• Track subcontractor schedules and progress to ensure timely completion of activities.


• Prepare periodic (daily/weekly/monthly) progress reports, dashboards, and MIS for management review.


• Participate in client review meetings and support project reporting requirements.


• Ensure compliance with project planning standards, quality systems, and contractual requirements.


• Mentor and guide junior planning engineers in schedule management and project controls. Stakeholder Coordination


• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, EHS, and Quality teams to align schedules.


• Support Project Managers and Site Managers with planning inputs for decision-making.


• Engage with clients, consultants, and contractors for project planning reviews.


• Ensure seamless communication of schedule requirements across internal and external stakeholders.
