Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Developer with 6 to 8 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS CloudWatch AWS Lambda Python DB Performance Optimization and Data Modelling. Experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance domain is mandatory. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable applications using AWS Lambda and Python to ensure optimal performance.

Candidate should have good hands on experience in emr step function s3 iceberg tables on s3 cloudwatch sns Snowflake external tables.

  • Monitor and manage application performance using AWS CloudWatch to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Optimize database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
  • Design and implement data models to support business requirements and enhance data integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for new features and enhancements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Develop and execute unit tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the applications.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development and maintenance efforts.
  • Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the development process.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong experience in AWS CloudWatch and AWS Lambda.
  • Must be proficient in Python programming language.
  • Must have expertise in DB Performance Optimization techniques.
  • Must have experience in Data Modelling to support business needs.
  • Must have domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance.
  • Nice to have experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Nice to have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Nice to have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Nice to have ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Nice to have experience with technical documentation and code reviews.
