About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Technical Writer who can bridge technical understanding and clear communication to create engaging content for our cloud-based software solutions in health sciences education. You will craft documentation that explains both the "how" and the "why," supporting customers, partners, and internal teams. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative environments, works closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), and explores innovative content formats—from written guides to videos and in-app help.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain user guides, configuration guides, troubleshooting guides, release notes, FAQs, and online help.
  • Develop training content and instructional materials for diverse user types.
  • Produce structured procedural guides with visuals and clean screenshots.
  • Design and edit instructional and product demo videos (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro).
  • Create innovative content formats including short videos, in-app guides, and context-sensitive help.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, QA, support teams, and SMEs to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Act as a user to anticipate documentation needs.
  • Ensure all documentation follows company style, tone, and structure standards.
  • Review and approve UI text such as validation messages, announcements, and menu labels.
  • Maintain documentation schedules and update content according to product releases and feedback.
  • Experiment with new content creation and distribution methods.
  • Establish documentation best practices and recommend tools for quality output.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; degree in language, literature, English, or related field is a plus.
  • 3–8 years of technical writing experience, preferably in SaaS or healthcare/education technology domains.
  • Proficiency in authoring tools like MadCap Flare, Zendesk, MS Word, or similar.
  • Strong experience in multimedia content creation and video editing (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and translate them into user-friendly content.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.

Preferred (Good to Have) Skills:

  • Technical Writing Certification from a recognized institute.
  • Experience with Snagit, Visio, Figma, or other visual design tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Experience with doc-as-code approaches and markdown.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or educational platforms.
