Job Summary
Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Technical Specialist within Global regulatory Sciences group. The successful candidate will work with a global team to conduct human exposure risk assessments for agrochemicals, maintain crop residue data bases, and support the wider Crop Protection Regulatory Sciences function as required. In this role, candidate will be part of a growing and multidisciplinary team that is responsible for safety evaluation of new and existing crop protection products. This role is located at Corteva corporate office in Hyderabad, India.

Responsibilities

  • While working with global team, conduct human health exposure assessments using agrochemical product use scenarios (i.e. Good Agriculture Practice, GAP) and regulatory establish exposure models
  • Conduct basic hazard evaluations and health risk assessments to support global risk assessment team within Human Health Sciences (HHS) group
  • Manage crop residue study database supporting product registration in alignment with Global Residue group within Crop Protection Regulatory Sciences (CPRS) function
  • Support regulatory submissions by responding to general and specific information requests using various information science tools and techniques
  • Perform literature technical searches and data evaluation to support product safety reviews and registration of Corteva products worldwide
  • Organized and set priorities while managing time and multiple assignments

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills

  • Master's degree in agriculture, toxicology or related field with minimum 3 years' experience
  • Although on job training will be provided but familiarity with human exposure models, GAP, residue chemistry studies or experience in conducting field experiment under GLP environment is desirable
  • Familiarity with basic agriculture practices including agrochemical field spraying and the concepts of routes of human exposure, is helpful
  • Basic understanding of experimental and/or regulatory toxicology including health reference doses (e.g. RfDs, ADI) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of global pesticide regulatory guidelines (e.g. OECD) and exposure risk assessment models (EFSA, USEPA) is added advantage
  • Experience in searching for scientific data, information and Database management skills desirable
  • Effective oral and written communications skills
  • Willing to learn and quickly adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in diversified computer software packages and online databases
