Position Purpose

Provide a brief description of the overall purpose of the position, why this position exists and how it will contribute in achieving the teams goal.

We are looking for a Power Platform developer with strong development skills and extensive knowledge of the Microsoft 365 environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) to meet the business needs by collaborating with the French team.

Your work will help streamline business processes, improve operational efficiency, and drive digital transformation across the organization.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Solution Development: Design and develop custom applications and automated workflows using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and other Power Platform tools.
• Business Process Automation: Collaborate with French team and business teams to identify opportunities for automation, create workflows, and improve existing processes using Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Data Integration: Build integrations between Power Platform solutions and various data sources such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dataverse, and third-party applications like ServiceNow.
• Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and optimization for existing Power Platform solutions to ensure they continue to meet business needs.

Contributing Responsibilities

• Expertise in building canvas and model-driven Power Apps.
• Proficiency in creating workflows and automations using Power Automate.
• Familiarity with common data sources (Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dataverse).
• Knowledge of Power Platform security, governance, and licensing best practices.
• Power Fx skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders.
• Experience in modern, intuitive and responsive website design excellent UI / webdesign skills, ideally showing strong samples of web sites or esponsive design webapps

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Power Platform:

• Power Apps: Creating low-code applications, mastering different versions (Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Portals).
• Power Automate: Automating workflows, connectors, triggers, and actions.
• Dataverse: Managing and structuring data in Microsoft Dataverse, often used to store data for Power Apps applications.

Languages and Tools:

• Power FX Expressions: The formula language used in Power Apps, similar to Excel.
• JSON: Useful for configuring custom connectors and managing data in Power Automate.
• SQL: Understanding relational databases if using systems like SQL Server.
• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript: For customizing user interfaces and Portals applications.
• APIs and Connectors: Integration with external systems via Power Automate connectors or REST APIs.

Microsoft Environments:

• Microsoft 365: Good knowledge of Microsoft tools like SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive, often integrated with Power Platform.
• Azure: Basic knowledge of Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure API Management for advanced automation needs.
• Dynamics 365: Useful if working in enterprise ecosystems integrating Dynamics 365.

Data Integration and Management Knowledge:

• Connecting and integrating data sources like SharePoint, Excel, SQL Server, or third-party systems via connectors.
• Managing permissions and security, including the use of roles and permissions in Dataverse.

Analytical and Non-Technical Skills:

Design and Modeling:

• User-Centered Design (UX/UI): Creating intuitive and efficient applications.
• Business Process Analysis: Understanding user needs to effectively automate their workflows.

Problem Solving:

• Ability to analyze business challenges and propose solutions based on Power Platform tools.

Project Management:

• Collaboration with business and technical teams.
• Agile methodologies for managing development projects.

Documentation and Training:

• Writing user guides for applications and workflows.
• Training end-users on the created tools.
• Good knowledge and experience with following technologies
• Strong knowledge of AGILE methodology.
• JIRA tools

Recommended Certifications: To validate your skills, consider obtaining the following Microsoft certifications:

• PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (beginner level).
• PL-100: Microsoft Power Platform App Maker (application creation).
• PL-200: Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant (functional consultant).
• PL-400: Microsoft Power Platform Developer (advanced developer).
