Position Summary:
Motive Service Management Platform (SMP) is a successful software platform deployed at more than 70 of the worlds leading telecommunications companies. Tens of thousands of Call Center Agents as well as tens of millions of subscribers use this software. We make it easy for these companies to integrate their backend systems into troubleshooting and diagnostic modules that we expose through self-service, agent consoles, and APIs. SMP is introducing Generative and Agentic AI features to lead the market in advanced capabilities.
As a SMP Product Manager at Motive, you will be an integral part of our product team leading planning, executing, and delivering successful product updates and features. You will take responsibility for driving the next phase of the Motive Service Management Platform (SMP) product evolution, leveraging AI technologies. You will conduct market research; generate product requirements; determine specifications, release timetables, pricing, and develop marketing strategies.
We are looking for a profit and loss manager with autonomy to ensure product profitability and managing spending to achieve all product performance metrics, who will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure that features and benefits of the product meet emerging market needs. The Product Manager owns bringing the product to market to generate new and/or recurring business and to ensure the integrity of the product in its market space. This individual will be an active advocate of the technologies developing in the market and cognizant of competitor approaches.
Main Responsibility Areas:
- Profit and loss management with autonomy to ensure product profitability and managing spending to achieve all product performance metrics.
- Manage, curate, and grow global sales pipeline in collaboration with the sales organization.
- Gathering market intelligence and competitive research. What problems do customers need to solve and what drives value for them?
- Making it clear to our customers our solution platform is the clear choice for evolving their customer care, provisioning, integration and orchestration solutions.
- Create and develop compelling content and sales enablement collateral. This includes battle cards, demos, presentations, training, and one-pagers.
- Educate sales and customer-facing teams with market challenges, trends, and how Motive SMP empowers operators to address each one of them.
- Support product marketing in internal and external communication. Building the required communication channels: blogs, newsletters, webinars, customer forums, etc.
- Customer engagement. Join customer meetings to hear firsthand what the customers expect from Motive SMP.
- Thought leadership and positioning Motive SMP as a leader in telecom customer care.
- Working with R&D in delivering high quality product releases
- Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders. Maintain product catalog and price book.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Bachelors or Master's Engineering
- Business degree is a plus
- 4+ years of professional experience in product management
- Experience in one or more of the following domains:
- Experience defining AI-enabled product features, Generative AI (prompt engineering, RAG), Agentic AI (MCP, A2A), AI-assisted software development
- Experience in the call center business and customer care tooling (assisted care, self-service, IVR, chatbot/AI, call center metrics, VoC, etc.)
- Experience in fixed and mobile telecom services and device management (5G, Fiber, Cable, FWA, TR-069, TR-369/USP, LWM2M, MQTT, OMA-DM, etc.)
- Solid understanding of IT topics, networks, cloud, and Kubernetes
- Experience working in an Agile software team and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Willingness to travel extensively, engage, learn, leverage your past to intelligently evolve the future.
- Excellent communicator on technical and business subjects, including presenting to senior audiences on video calls or face-to-face.
- Self-motivated, thrives and remains calm and consistent under pressure.
- Takes initiative and accountability to ensure actions are completed and deadlines are met.
- Attention to detail with a results-oriented approach to work.
