Job Title: Lab Incharge

Job Purpose:

The Lab Incharge will be responsible for managing the fabric and garment testing laboratory, ensuring all tests are carried out as per international standards and buyer requirements. They will maintain accuracy, reliability, and compliance in all testing activities, contributing to the overall quality assurance process of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Laboratory Operations
• Supervise day-to-day laboratory activities and testing schedules.
• Conduct fabric and garment tests such as shrinkage, GSM, tensile/tear strength, color fastness (to wash, rubbing, perspiration, light), pH, appearance after wash, and accessories tests.
• Ensure all tests are performed according to ISO, AATCC, ASTM, and buyer standards.
• Prepare and maintain accurate test reports.
• Compliance & Standards
• Ensure the lab meets buyer compliance and audit requirements.
• Maintain updated knowledge of international testing methods and buyer protocols.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment regularly.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of textile and garment testing standards (ISO, AATCC, ASTM, BS, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with testing equipment (GSM cutter, tensile/tear tester, crock meter, washing machine, light fastness tester, pH meter, etc.).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and reporting abilities.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Attention to detail with accuracy in test results.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma / B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Textile Technology, Textile Chemistry, or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in garment/fabric testing laboratory.
• Experience with buyer audits and compliance is preferred.

Performance Indicators (KPI):

• Timely and accurate testing of all samples and bulk fabric.
• Compliance with buyer and international testing standards.
• Zero non-conformity during buyer/compliance audits.
• Effective team supervision and training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹40,000.00 per month
