About the Department

The well-established Department of Urology is functional and equipped with essential infrastructure, including modern diagnostic and surgical facilities. It is supported by a large, multi-specialty Intensive Care complex. The department manages a high volume of inpatient and outpatient cases annually.

Mandatory Qualifications

DM Urology/MCh Urology or DNB-SS Urology. The degree must be recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Key Experience and Technical Expertise

Minimum Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience post-mandatory qualifications (DM Urology/MCh Urology or DNB-SS Urology) is required.

Exceptional Candidates: Candidates with 1-4 years of experience prior to obtaining the mandatory qualifications, and at least 1 year of experience post-mandatory qualifications, will be considered.

Technical Proficiency (Subject-Specific Expertise): Extensive documented experience in performing a wide range of medical and surgical urology procedures, including:

  • Management and operative expertise in Uro-oncology (Kidney, Bladder, Prostate, Testis).
  • Expertise in Endourology (PCNL, URS, RIRS) for stone disease.
  • Experience in Reconstructive Urology and Laparoscopic Urological procedures.
  • Management of difficult-to-treat Urological emergencies, Urological trauma, and male infertility/andrology.
  • Involvement in the work-up and post-operative management of Kidney Transplant recipients.

Clinical Leadership: Experience in leading clinical teams, departmental development, and managing urological emergencies in a care setting.

Academic Focus: Relevant work experience and active participation in academic activities within recognised universities, medical colleges, or teaching hospital environments is a key area of focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership for the Urology Department, working to lead and strengthen comprehensive urological services.
  • Perform scheduled and emergency urology procedures and interventions (24x7 support).
  • Offer comprehensive urological consultant services to Outpatient Department (OPD) and inpatient admissions.
  • Manage critical care patients with urological and renal dysfunction within the Intensive Care complex.
  • Contribute to clinical training, research, and departmental development initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

Remuneration: Highly competitive salary package ranging from approximately 4,00,000 to 8,00,000 INR per month, commensurate with experience.

The package includes a retention bonus that will be paid at the end of the 1st year and 2nd year tenure.

The successful candidate will also be eligible for variable pay - Clinical Incentive.
