Role Overview:

The Head / VP Consultations will be responsible for building, scaling, and optimizing AstroSageAI's entire consultation ecosystem. The role involves strategic planning, revenue growth, astrologer management, AI-human integration, and user experience enhancement.

You will oversee P&L ownership for the consultation segment, lead multiple teams (operations, quality, AI consultation, and astrologer relations), and collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Tech, and Category teams to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Ownership & Growth

  • Own end-to-end strategy for the consultation business (chat, call, and live sessions).
  • Develop and execute revenue strategies — including subscription models, consultation bundles, offers, and referral programs.
  • Drive conversion and retention across free and paid consultation funnels (including free chat trials on new registrations).
  • Identify and introduce new service verticals such as corporate astrology, premium consultation tiers, and personalized remedy plans.
  • Define KPIs and success metrics (revenue, ARPU, conversion %, satisfaction, repeat consultations).

Operations & Quality Management

  • Oversee daily consultation operations ensuring 247 uptime, smooth scheduling, and prompt query handling.
  • Create standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for astrologer onboarding, training, performance review, and compliance.
  • Monitor call/chat/live consultation quality — accuracy, tone, response time, and customer feedback.
  • Partner with the Product & AI team to continuously improve AI astrologer responses and hybrid consultation experience.
  • Implement quality frameworks and rating systems for astrologers and AI consultations.

Astrologer Management & Development

  • Lead end-to-end astrologer lifecycle management — from recruitment, onboarding, and verification to performance tracking.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of astrologers, ensuring adequate supply for all time zones.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and audits to enhance astrologers' communication, consultation ethics, and cross-selling ability.
  • Ensure compliance with platform standards and responsible astrology guidelines.

Revenue Maximization & Cross-Selling

  • Build structured upselling and cross-selling frameworks for pooja services, gemstones, reports, and other remedial products.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing to design and promote integrated consultation + product bundles.
  • Drive incentive programs for astrologers linked to sales and consultation performance.

AI Consultation Leadership

  • Collaborate with the AI/Tech team to strengthen AI astrologer capabilities, ensuring contextual, human-like, and personalized consultation experiences.
  • Develop chat and voice AI consultation flows that mirror natural human guidance and empathy.
  • Analyze AI consultation data to improve algorithms and response quality.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team — Consultation Operations, Astrologer Relations, Quality, and AI Support.
  • Work closely with Marketing for acquisition campaigns, Product for new features, and Customer Success for retention.
  • Foster a high-performance culture based on ownership, empathy, and innovation.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • 12–18 years of experience in online consultation, tele-services, or consumer tech platforms.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale operations (preferably in astrology, wellness, healthcare, or coaching domains).
  • Strong understanding of chat/call-based consultation dynamics, funnel management, and conversion analytics.
  • Excellent people management and vendor handling skills (especially with consultant networks).
  • Experience working with AI/chatbot-driven systems or tech-based customer service models.
  • Strong analytical mindset — ability to use data for decision-making and performance tracking.
  • MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Passion for astrology, wellness, or spirituality is a strong plus.
