Purpose of the role

The Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the Global Digital Transformation initiative at General Mills in capacity of Cyber Security Engineer I – Enterprise Security. This role will report into D&T Manager Cyber Security Engineering & Operations in India and functionally collaborate with global Cyber Security. It is an Individual contributor role.

As a member of Cyber Securit, you will be responsible for on‑premises, operational technology (OT), and cloud security infrastructure globally. You will partner with Platform Teams (Network and Cloud), Cyber Security teams, and Digital & Technology teams to design, test, implement, operate, and maintain cyber security solutions. You will help establish efficient, optimized architectural patterns at scale, develop new or enhance existing processes, and ensure robust, resilient operational infrastructure. Solution delivery will focus on efficacy, repeatability, and scalability across cyber security platforms and capabilities, while maintaining excellent customer service.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Design, implement, and manage Cyber Security solutions across Enterprise/Network, Cloud, and Supply Chain/OT and other protective technologies, to safeguard the organization from cyber threats and reduce the risk surface.

• Assess and enhance the cybersecurity posture by leveraging existing security solutions.

• Implement policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices and maintain platform compliance.

• Own small projects and deliverables and provide project consultation on security requirements for new and existing projects/solutions.

• Provide technical guidance and support to the incident response team during security incidents and investigations.

• Create and maintain technical platform documentation for security configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Drive platform lifecycle management and process improvement.

• Review and update platform documentation for relevance and accuracy.

• Mentor and develop other team members.

On call support responsibilities

• Participate in CSEO on-call support and provide support for all security solutions, balancing customer service and business objectives with the need to maintain effective controls.

• Apply incisive decision-making and critical-thinking skills to assist in triage and resolution of ad-hoc incidents.

• Conduct periodic evaluations of operational support duties to ensure procedure relevance, efficiency, and consistency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have full time bachelor's degree in computer science (preferred) or related field from an accredited university.
• Must have total 5+ years of relevant experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting and in-depth technical understanding of Enterprise/Network Security, SC/OT Security, Cloud Security, Networking other security protective technologies.
• Must have min 2+ years of experience working on Palo Alto technologies (Firewalls, Zones, Virtual Router, Global Protect VPN etc) and min 2+ years of experience working on Networking (Routing, Switching, BGP etc).
• Good to have experience working on cloud platform (GCP Cloud Security).
• Good to have basic knowledge of any scripting language and automation.
• Possess strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, risk-management, intellectual integrity and continuous improvement mindset.
• Should have good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and stakeholders.
• Proven Self-driven with ability to drive and prioritize/complete multiple tasks with guidance.
• Demonstrated mental agility and ability to push through ambiguity and obtain results.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in computer science (preferred) or related field.
• Relevant certification (i.e. Palo Alto, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Google Cloud Platform certified).
• Basic knowledge of any scripting languages (Ansible, Python or PowerShell).
• Relevant Cyber Security certifications (i.e. CEH or CISSP).
