Purpose of the job

Responsible for overall logistics operations for fluorochemical products, refrigerants, and raw materials. Responsible for smooth communication with suppliers, customers, and group companies, safe and stable delivery, and inventory management. Responsible for highly efficient operations based on compliance, cost-efficient logistics networks, and systems.

Role & responsibilities

Overall domestic, import, and export logistics operations:

  • Logistics strategy planning and execution (planning for continuous improvement).
  • Logistics-related supplier selection and operations (customs clearance, delivery, ordering and receiving, and document preparation).
  • Maintenance and improvement of inventory and logistics quality.
  • Smooth communication with suppliers, customers, and group companies.
  • Introduction and maintenance of logistics and in-house systems.

Inventory management

  • Planning and managing procurement and inventory budgets based on sales budgets
  • Planning and executing coordinated procurement and inventory plans based on sales reports
  • Smooth communication with suppliers and group companies
  • Introduction and maintenance of in-house systems

Preferred candidate profile

Competencies/Skills required

  • Domestic/international logistics expertise and operational skills
  • Knowledge of handling chemical products (IMDG, IATA, ADR regulations and licensing)
  • Core system operations such as SAP and advanced operational skills such as master setup
  • Production management experience (Ability to develop and manage inventory budget plans and coordinate with related parties)
  • Skills to maintain and improve quality/delivery management
  • Human resource management and development skills
  • Financial acumen: cost analysis for services, contract negotiation, budget ownership.
  • Communication skills: Deepen relationships with suppliers, customers, and group companies
  • Analytical skills (Advanced analysis using Excel and utilization of internal system data)
  • Continuous improvement skills (operational improvement)
  • Language: Business English, local language (Hindi/regional)

Qualifications and experience (preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as supply chain, logistics or chemistry. MBA holder.
  • 10 + years of experience in logistics/supply chain
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Experience handling chemical/refrigerant/hazardous products
  • Qualified personnel in relevant jobs
  • IATA dangerous goods/IMDG/ADR training
  • Supply chain/logistics certification (APIC/CSCP, CIPS)
  • Lean/Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) preferred
