Site Engineer

- Supervision and installation: Oversee and supervise the installation of fire safety systems like fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and suppression systems.
- Compliance and quality control: Ensure all fire protection work is in compliance with local fire codes, safety standards, and technical drawings.
- Coordination: Collaborate with other site teams, including MEP, civil engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless integration of fire safety systems.
- Inspections and testing: Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and perform testing and commissioning of fire safety systems.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed site reports, inspection documents, and as-built drawings.
- Technical support: Provide technical guidance and support to technicians and subcontractors.
- Project management: Manage daily work schedules, material consumption, and track project progress to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Qualifications and skills
- Education: Typically requires a degree in engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, or Fire Protection).
- Experience: Minimum of a few years of experience in site supervision, particularly with fire safety systems is often required.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in reading and understanding technical drawings, knowledge of fire codes (such as NFPA and local codes), and familiarity with project management and documentation tools.
- Soft skills: Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are crucial for managing a team and coordinating with various stakeholders.
