Location: Andheri West, Mumbai

Overview

The Finance Intern will play an important role in supporting the finance and accounts team in day-to-day operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical exposure in corporate finance, accounting, and compliance. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in day-to-day accounting and finance operations.

  • Support in maintaining and reconciling bank entries, invoices, and expense records.

  • Help prepare TDS, GST, and other statutory compliance data.

  • Update and maintain financial trackers and spreadsheets.

  • Assist in vendor payment processing and follow-ups.

  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.

  • Prepare and organize financial documentation for audits and reporting.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data for analysis.

  • Assist in preparing management reports and summaries.

  • Track and verify reimbursements, petty cash, and purchase orders.

  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in handling financial data.

  • Conduct research on financial trends and industry benchmarks as required.

  • Participate in finance team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books) is a plus.

  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new financial tools and processes.

  • Time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.

  • Interest in financial analysis, budgeting, and compliance procedures.
