What You'll Build

As a PostgreSQL Database Administrator, you will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing the databases that power SAP Document Management Service (DMS) — a cloud-based enterprise content management solution supporting mission-critical SAP applications worldwide.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining PostgreSQL databases across production and non-production environments.
• Performing query tuning, indexing, replication, high availability (HA) setup, and disaster recovery planning.
• Partnering with application and development teams to design efficient schemas and optimize SQL performance.
• Managing and monitoring cloud-based PostgreSQL deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Ensuring database security, scalability, performance, and automation through scripting and proactive monitoring.

What you bring

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in production environments.
• Strong expertise in SQL performance tuning, database internals, and replication techniques.
• Practical experience managing PostgreSQL on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix systems, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid programming and scripting skills — exposure to Java, Python, or REST APIs is a plus.
