Mission

Key missions of the position:

New products Design, Development, Validation and Documentation

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

• Design feasibility Analysis
• Develop 2D and 3D concepts of the electrical and electronic modules
• Should handle CAD tools and design electronic enclosures & Wiring harness
• Able to use CAD tools and prepare electrical schemes
• Adherence to Product Development Cycle
• Manage Product level requirements and compliances
• Conduct Design Reviews
• Prepare DFMECA
• Collaborate with RAMS team for FTA, Safety, Reliability and LCC assessments
• Prepare Validation Plan, Specifications and Reports
• Understanding of Design principles and Standardization
• Continuous Improvements to improve product reliability and reduce LCC
• Ensure compliance to global standards and applications
• Able to study, interpret and prepare detailed Electrical/Electronic schemes
• Able to perform Design calculations
• Own and manage Design deliverables with First Time Right approach and ensure OTD
• Travelling to Field for Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Troubleshooting activities
• Establish Communication with global product teams
• Innovation and Creative thinking
• Knowledge on DFM, DFA, FTA
• Possess strong presentation and communication skills

Required Candidate Profile

Education/Training

What education and education level are necessary for the position?

B.E in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Mechatronics

Professional Experience

How many years of professional experience in a specific professional area are required for the position?

8 -12 years in Rail industry

Prior knowledge in Microprocessor based Electronics Brake System would be an added advantage

Key Competences (Transversal/Professional)

Languages

Fluency in English

Hindi – added advantage

Other Specifications

Should work in Hosur campus and report to the Manager in Hosur.

Should be flexible enough to accommodate out-station task.
