We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The Mainframe Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mainframe applications that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, test, and implement mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure that applications meet business needs.

  • Perform system analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.

  • Optimize and enhance existing mainframe applications for performance and maintainability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process improvements.

  • Ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards and best practices.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in mainframe technology.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in mainframe development.

  • Proficient in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.

  • Strong understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).

  • Experience with mainframe tools and utilities.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in financial services or a related industry.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

  • Knowledge of additional mainframe programming languages and technologies.
